SIPslidingaway
Hi Guys, Trying to get my head around partition wall make up to pass Part E2 of the regs in England and Wales. I am looking to use 100mm Mineral Sound Insulation (10kg/m2density) between partition walls and floors. Will this work with single lining of standard 12.5mm plasterboard, or do I still need to double the plasterboard (standard) or use E10 Blue Sound Board to pass E2? Any help gladly received. Thanks Ben
nod
Use single 15 mil soundblock If your above a ceiling Use a single strip of 15 mil sound block under the sole plate or floor track You will get better acoustic performance from metal C stud than timber Edited February 25, 2022 by nod
