February 18, 20224 yr Hi. I am keen to find out about spray plastering: Is worth it in terms of cost and speed and if any one had any experience with it, how did it turn out. Are there any recommendations for the companies in Midlands. Also is it something one could learn by going on training course. Or would you prefer the traditional plastering. I am assuming for new build one could simply go for tape and joint plaster board or (more controversial option of MGO boards - internal use only) and remove the need for the wet plastering. Thanks.

February 18, 20224 yr Magnesia boards are expensive Id find it hard to justify the extra cost Though I have used them As we get little or no say in the products that we use
February 24, 20224 yr Author @nod hi. I had a quote for plastering using traditional method and it was 350-400 for the walls per room. Another guy quoted £12.50 per sqm using spray and he said the traditional hand method ranges from 7-9 per sqm. He only dies spray and want 15% to book 7month in advance due to wait time. Does the pricing seem reasonable? Is deposit usual practice? Thanks.
February 24, 20224 yr 7-9 seems about right You shouldn’t need to book more than a couple of weeks in advance I certainly wouldn’t advise paying a deposit

February 25, 20224 yr I wouldn’t use spray plastering on a house To much masking up and you can’t split the angles for a better job It’s ok for very large commercial areas I normally allow three days for a pair of plasterers to skim out a decent sized 4-5 bed home Not a lot of time to be saved on a house
