We bought a small ex-council terrace 10 years ago, moved in a small touring caravan in the front drive, stripped the house back to bricks and woods and set off from there on the DIY adventure of a life time. Finally moved in 8 years later after the final paint party with friends. Many professionals and unevenly knowledgeable friends have helped along the way, including very patient carers and utterly forgiving neighbours.
