Best place for plasterboard and sound insulation?

I'm getting prices in at the moment for plaster-boarding/skimming the house but would like to get some prices for the board in advance to see if I'm potentially being ripped off - we need about 900m2 of the stuff. Are there 'best' places for this or is any local builders' merchant as good as anywhere? Same question applies for the sound insulation for the stud walls.

We've just been going through this process and have been ringing around the builders merchants to find the best deals. There was a fair bit of variation in the quotes we got. The final price was eventually negotiated by our plasterer, who took one look at the "best price" we had got and declared it to be far too high. He phoned his contact at the builders merchant and got an extra 8% knocked off !

I've been quite surprised to find that Wickes would do plasterboard and insulation cheaper than I could get it from a BM.

£4.40/ sheet plus VAT for 12.5mm board.

Ours all came from CCF they are nationwide and our plasterer said they are far and away the cheapest.
