I am almost at the end of a full house refurbishment but as the weather has started getting colder the ASHP heating issues raise their head again. I truly thought that I was alone, suffering from the lack of handover of my system from my contractor. I then found this forum, read the 9 pages of post with interest on the LG Therma V Monoblock Air Source Heat Pump. I had experience almost all of the issues discussed and I took some comfort that I am not the only one suffering with the lack of good information from LG. I am recently retired, but have spent much of my career developing control systems in an industrial environment, but due to the lack of information, I've found understanding the nuisances of the system incredibly difficult. I look forward to sharing my experience on the LG Therma V Monoblock Air Source Heat Pump forum and hopefully help others and find answers to some of my outstanding system questions. I caution that mine is an older version than the ones currently on sale and in particular the software and the user control panel is quite different from the current ones to what I have. If you have the newer version I may not be of so much help. Having got to the bottom of and worked around all the gremlins mine is now working just fine and heating my house and hot water nicely. MikeM Posted November 28, 2021 Author Share Posted November 28, 2021 Glad to hear your system is performing well ProDave. My 9kw system was delivered in May 2020 and commissioned in September 2020. The RMC is version 3.05.5a. It is working but I’m not convinced it is properly configured for optimum efficiency. The AI LWT and Outside temps are set at the default values so I’ll be trying some new settings. Some questions I do have if anyone can help are: 1. Is there a cost (efficiency/wear) for silent mode operation? I can only think that because you have the option to run in silent mode or not, then there must be a cost to Silent mode operation. 2. Does anyone have a reliable telephone number for lg technical support. I keep getting passed around different department with no luck. 3. Where a people getting their LG AWHP spares from? I’ve been directed to www.4lg.co.uk but no joy on AWHP spares. I’m trying to buy WiFi modem so I can use LG ThinQ app. Thank you. MikeM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
