Running thermostat wires with UFH pipes

Hi all.

 

I'm about to retrofit UFH on to a concrete floor (insulation to go on top) 

 

Rather than chase out good walls that don't need plastering to run wires from the thermostats to the UFH control unit, can i just run them alongside the UFH pipes within the insulation under the UFH polystyrene mats?

Not sure, generally putting wires in insulation isn't a good thing as you have to up the sizes of the cables - but why not use wireless, with wireless control centre.

 

A lot on the market can now be recharged, so no faffing with batteries.

I did think about that and might look into the additional cost, it may be worth it as there is no clear path from the furthest two rooms, other than going along the floor with the UFH.
