Triassic Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I've been quoted £180 +vat for a bar bending schedule. I'm all for saving money and wondered if this is something I could produce myself?
Jeremy Harris Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 No reason you couldn't do it yourself, as long as you have the drawings. Our SE produced drawings, calcs, a steel list and bending schedule as a part of the package for our big (~2.5m high x ~ 35 m long) retaining wall. The total cost was £360 inc VAT.
Triassic Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 The bar schedule was priced separately, as part of an insulated foundation design costing £1000+vat.
Alexphd1 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Yeah you could set up a jig and mass produce but we felt it was more efficient just getting it cut and bent from supplier. 1
Triassic Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 I'm happy to let someone bend the steel, but before I can get that done they need a bending schedule.
Alexphd1 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Sorry I misread your post. My engineer (Tanner stuctural design) never even offered me a schedule I just made one of the drawings. Pretty straight forward. Edited April 8, 2017 by Alexphd1
