An overlay system with 20mm screed is good from a responce time and one of the best overlay systems for even floor temperatures as the screed conducts the heat out from the pipe centres well.  I have it through the original build part of my house.  I would recomend that you check it will be okay on the 600 centres and 18mm chip from a structual point of view, but from a system operation and performance you shoudn't be disapointed.

hi, yes it seems that its on the borderline with regards to structure! im hoping that using a wooden engineered flooring over the top and not tiles will help.

what size of pipe did you use? lots of systems with their own crates seem to use 12mm but ive heard 16mm is much better so considering doing that with 22mm screed
