Frameless windows (idealcombi/velfac)

Those of you that have fitted any of the frameless style of window such as those offered by velfac and idealcombi. How have you found the effectiveness and longevity of the seal that is supplied?

 

I can’t help thinking that after a few years this gasket could degrade and give issues in terms of waterproofing. 
 

Has anyone had any problems? Or are they fairly robust?

They often recommend Compriband expanding foam tape for the external weather seal.  It seems to work well and is widely used.  Internally they tend to specify mineral wool or low expansion foam for insulation, plus a tape to seal the frame to the building.
