The ground
Hello everyone. I'm a newby and I'm looking for sound advice here. I'm wanting to build a house on a plot of land that is next to the river Calder. I know I must be at least 8m away from the bank. Is it advisable to get borehole samples when I've already decided to put piles down?
NewToAllOfThis
We didn't have boreholes as there are other properties around and the piles were al around 12 metres. The piling company we used had done most of the other piling so knew the area well. Our piles all ended up being between 11-13 metres so were not far off the 12 metre expectation.
