Sigster Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Hi, Fellow Members, Advice please. I have a rodding point in my patio, which is about to be relaid - see attached. I want to run my washing machine and basin waste from the utility, no toilet waste, into a new outside waste gulley and connect to the rodding point by using a 45 (y piece) degree connector, keeping the rodding point accessible within the new patio. Would this be a permitted practise? Thanks in advance
George Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Is it definitely a foul sewer rodding eye? If it is, then that is fine. If it's a surface water sewer then no, not allowed.
Sigster Posted June 18, 2021 Author Posted June 18, 2021 George, thanks. Am still trying to work that one out! There is a foul sewer manhole several meters away, which receives our foul waste. Have tried a hose down the rodding point, but water does not flow into the manhole chamber. Am trusting the council or a drainage specialist would be able to advise?
markc Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 i reckon that is a surface water rodding point, still seems an odd location tho
