Martin Gos
I’ve built a shed and laid the floor. The skid in the early stages is pictured. the wood was sufficiently treated and allowed to dry. But I’m worried, and can’t find any information, on how corrosive hair and fur is to wood. Obviously being outside, I also have the dampness to consider. With respect to C16 pressure treated wood. thanks
Declan52
Could you expand a bit more on what you mean by hair and fur???
Martin Gos
My concern is pet hair. I’ve used good quality nails and wood stainer so I’m hoping it should be ok. I pre-cut the plywood and put the floor straight down after lunch. Annoyingly a cat must have been sleeping in the corner. I spotted it after it was nailed down. The nail gun was great for this, never used one before but really saved time. Had some issues vertically using the gun, but flooring was great. I could possibly dig the remains out and clear the fur away, it’s a tight fit under the skid but I could get a broom handle underneath.
