Carpet or no carpet under built-in bunk beds?

I'm putting in some built-in bunk beds for the kids room which I'll be starting reno on soon. We're also putting in carpets, but I'm wondering if I should carpet the whole room and install bunk beds on top or carpet around them? Happy to hear anyone's thoughts!

For something built like that I would say no carpet so it can rest directly onto the solid floor
