What's the minimum foundation size when building a sleeper wall on existing foundations?

I only have around 100mm on the existing foundation, I don't really want to have to cut into the existing wall to take the end bearing.

Usually has to project 100mm min past edge of wall. Dare say people do build right on the edge sometimes. Perhaps you can tie into existing which will compensate?

I spoke to building control and they were happy for me to build a sleeper wall as long as I used ties into the original wall.

I ended up just cutting holes into the original brick work, was free compared to blocks
