Johnnyt
Not too long before we screed the floor and lay the UFH pipes. We are having a 10kW PV solaredge sytem fitted which can drive upto 5Kw excess to an immersion. Main heat source for UFH is gas system boiler, probably Viessmann Vitodens 200 25kW, There's only me and the bride but regularly have friends and relatives to stay, We are looking for thoughts and opinions on any particular UVC. We are considering 400 to 500l, we will have 3 ensuite bathrooms with showers. should we have any concerns such as recovery times or heating the water in the winter with a large tank and the PV load is likely to be running the base load and charging a battery as initial priority Thanks J
PeterW
400 litre Telford or even a 500 if you can get it through the doorways and have space for a 50 litre floor standing expansion tank ..?? I prefer Telford as you can spec exactly where you want the connections to go so you don’t end up with miles of pipework all around the front of the unit. You could ask for a pair of immersions (and stat pockets) to be added to a standard 500 litre tank with the first pair mid tank and then only heat the top section when it is the two of you and switch to the lower stat when there are more. Diverter would do the top as primary load and bottom as secondary load.
