Noddy2021
Morning everyone, Just wanted to get some tips/thoughts on the below: I have my radiators on a timer to come off every night at 12.45AM. I have 6 radiators in the house. At 12.45 AM one of the radiators in the hallway (a vertical one) makes a bang/loud click noise. Similar to a thermostat but much louder. Initially thought it was the thermostat but can confirm its the radiator. It has been doing this for about 3 or 4 weeks. Every night like clockwork. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thank you in advance!
Onoff
Have you bled your radiators lately (ever?) using a radiator key?
dpmiller
Is the radiator clamped tightly in it's mounting brackets? If it is, try loosening a couple a touch.

No - I have been in the property for about 1.5 years so haven't really done anything since it was set up.

If anything it is too loose but I don't think its that causing it. System been setup for 1.5 years and the radiator hasn't been touched. I have a feeling it might be the rad thermo valve? If I change this would I have to bleed the system, etc?
