Afternnon,

i'm have a TF construction with no masonry and on the outside of the frame is battens, and a render carrier board for render.

Im thinking about the connections to the gas and electric meter boxes, in this case is it normal for the services 'hock sticks' to be installed on the outside of the timber frame with exposed riser for the gas n elec ?

It is normal for hokey sticks on the outside

When you install the boxes make sure you leave enough room for the tube to pass the render bead and enter the boxes

I recently rendered a self build in the Lake District and the service guy chopped two Chanel’s in the render because the pipe was tight against the wall

Cheers,  yeah and I guess the hockey sticks themselves will have to be set off the frame so the riser can straight up.
