Highland build
yea that was quite interesting in the it was 2200 insurance premium and 2500 audit inspection fee plus tax underwriting fee and something else. their going to do three inspections on site. All the other quotes were about 100-1500 insurance premium and mega bucks for inspections.
Highland build
Protek were the ones that asked me about contractors, so I had to admit I was project managing, getting all the trades in separately, so there's the risk right there for increasing the premium itself ? Makes no sense either to some degree in Scotland thats why we have local authority building control. The whole thing of a structural warranty continues to be a joke. SuperJohnG
As an update - ProTek are no back doing policies and have a second underwriter. I have just purchased a policy from them - I'm currently pre first fix and the costs were £3500 Inclusive of site audit fees and IPT. Very pleased as I was getting horrific quotes of £7-9k which I thought I was going to have to suck up.
