Guest Alphonsox Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 One interesting thing to consider with any surge protector is they have a finite energy absorption ability, they effectively degrade as they operate. As they do this the MOV (metal oxide varistor) device breaks down. The result is that they need to be replaced to remain effective. Unfortunately very few seem to give any indication that they are past their best.
