brickierob1 Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 So I'm a Learner at the moment and at the theory stage at the moment. I'm trying to build a half brick wall from the front of my drive to the existing external corner of my house. When I'm digging my foundations should I dig as deep as my footings on the house or can I get away with going 450 deep from ground level? Many thanks
Oz07 Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 How big is the wall. I wouldn't bother going as deep as the house. So long as you're below the frost line
Declan52 Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 It will have to be deep enough so the founds are on solid ground or they will sink and the wall will crack. If that's the same depth as the house then that's how deep it needs to go.
