Fast flow shower drain

Had a quick look at this .

The drain has no grate - is that correct ?

Also the cover seems a bit crap - it can slide around and just sits on some rubber legs ( one is broke ) .

Is that it ? . Going to clunk and move when you step on it .

Am I missing something ???

It looks like it! A bit of an afterthought in the design department I think!

 

My only comment would be, apart from yes it's a bit poor, given it's proximity to the glazing, are you likely to stand on it in use? 

 

Once you have got it all installed and working for a while, I'd be tempted to silicone it down with a couple of blobs. Just enough to lock it in place and that you can pry it back up.

Yeah I was thinking a bit of silicone .

Is rather crap especially for an expensive tray . The instructions say the drain must be at the other end from the shower . So you effectively have to walk on it ?
