grace h
Hi, We're using a wall starter kit for an extension off our existing house. The position of one of the windows is only 330mm from the existing building so doesn't allow for the usual bonding of the concrete blocks we are using. Is it acceptable to form a pillar of blocks directly above each other or does this go against a building reg (our structural engineer/building control didn't point out an issue). Can't see any other way to do it! Thanks, Grace
PeterW
Do you mean cut a standard block to 320mm and stack on top of each other ..?? If so, yes it’s fine, just use a starter clip every other course if you can get spare clips for the rail.
grace h
Yes, just not enough space to do standard bonding between layers and the idea of a stack felt like it must be breaking a rule! We're using starter clip on every course anyway so can carry that on Thanks!
