Claire Eason Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Hi We are looking to setup a contract for Groundworks on our self build and was wondering whether to use JCT Contract Building Contract for a Home Owner/Occupier who has not appointed a consultant to oversee the work (HO/B) or Contractstore Building Contract for Home Owner or Self Builder (B152) Has anyone use either of these?

I would say you need to make sure you and the builder have agreed and are happy with the interim valuation dates and payment schedules and that they match up with any fund release from your mortgage provider. I think it also helps to have someone familiar with the contract, in our case the architect, as contracts administrator. 1
