Hi Guys

When adding tile hanging to external brick walls that already has cavity wall insulation, is there much benefit to adding a thin layer of insulation under the tiles / battons?

If so, what insulation would you suggest?

Dont want to drastically increase the wall thickness

Thanks

Assuming a brick/50mm cavity/brick construction then 50mm of mineral wool batt will save about 40% and 50mm of PIR/PUR about 50%
