Ebrahima
We are living now in Scotland but we bought a plot of land 20m by 20m in The Gambia "West Africa" as a retirement plan. Last year we started with the foundation but for reason that I dont know, they never put membrane. Please any help. Many thanks
Mr Punter
Hello Ebrahima and welcome. Did you get builders to do this for you? Maybe ask them what they were planning for the membrane. If you are not there you will need someone competent and trustworthy to oversee the work or you could waste your money and end up with a really shoddy job. As I am sure you are aware, building regulations in The Gambia are not enforced as strictly as the UK. Whereabouts are you building?
Ebrahima
Thank you Mr Punter, When I asked why they never put membrane? The answer was it is not necessary, so after the foundation I asked them to stop the work. From now on I will build it by phrase and will be there. No that the foundation is finished can I put Everbuild 908 Black Jack DPM. The location of the plot is in Turejeng.
Nickfromwales
Liquid damp proof membranes can work really well. It’s just about getting them installed correctly, and then overlaid immediately to protect them from damage.
