Adam2 Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Hi, I stumbled across the below monster of a report for the above and seeing as many have done their own equivalents I figured you didn't stretch to 52 pages :-) If someone could share with me their report covering these 2 topics that I could use as a template that would be greatly appreciated. I think my SE is angling for this to be the next item he looks to add on to the "extras" list :-) https://www.bournemouth.gov.uk/councildemocratic/CouncilMeetings/CommitteeMeetings/PlanningBoard/2017/10/16/reports/1-mcwilliam-flood-risk-assesment-and-drainage-report.pdf
PeterW Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 FRA go to the Environment Agency flood maps and find the area you are in. Depending on the zone, there is boilerplate as to what you need to do to meet it. For SUDs you will need the percolation / soil test results and what hard landscaping you are planning - from there it’s not difficult to sort.
Jeremy Harris Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 My flood risk assessment was just a few pages: Flood risk assessment - redacted.pdf The scanned hard copy flood plan was obtained from the EA following a phone call from me, they printed it off and popped it in the post. For SuDS I just said I'd comply - didn't give any details.
Adam2 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Great thanks - checked EA website and Zone 1 so no risk assessment needed as <1 Ha development, link for future reference https://flood-map-for-planning.service.gov.uk/ There's a good walkthough of the percolation test here: http://suds-solutions.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/How-to-carry-out-a-percolation-test.pdf , have calculated the roof + hard standing and will work on assumption of being impermeable (for now at least) and ave the figure of so I have the info needed for input into calcs. Have checked with my Building Regs co if they will accept the usual test method. My query was really the format to present the calcs/other content that was relevant to include but if they may just accept my word that it is compliant that's great! Will see what they think about that :-)
