Quick, silly question, I think the answer is yes. The rafters which forms the outside of the verge has, up to now, been 'sourced from our C16 set of rafters. But the architect's spec is for C16, and it doesn't mention ' treated ' ..... And I'm about to fit the last one, but we've run out of C16 9 by 2: tempted to fit normal , plain vanilla, PAR (9 by 2) Does the outside rafter of the verge have to be treated ?

Does any one know where i could get 90 degree verge caps for a slate tiled roof, 90 degree 450mm ridge slates with scot verge hdv9 verge covers. Having trouble finding any to cover the ends and want to ensure the roof is fully protected from bats / birds as the roof is 7 metres high and 10metres high at the other end due to fall away, hence want to make sure its fully sealed before the scaffold comes down. Some has suggested using slate tiles and cut them to fit and fill the cap area between scot verge and ridge slates - anyone done this before? Any help / suggestions welcomed.
