Got a greenhouse-type structure that was erected in 1999 - acrylic/polycarb sheets set in an aluminium frame. The green plastic glazing bars used to stabilise the panels are well past their sell-by dates, many have slipped out and most have lost their structural integrity. The contractor who used them is long since gone so can't advise where I might find replacements for them. The aluminium framing is absolutely fine, it's just the plastic bars I'm looking for. I did find a single white-plastic alternative that has been used on the roof.. it fits well. But again, I have no idea where it was sourced from. the only ones I can find now all come with the aluminium framing and are, in any case, invariably much wider and deeper. Got quite a few of these to replace, any ideas as to where I could possibly source these things?

Hi, has anyone here tried, or come across an example of, creating hinged opening greenhouse roof vents using 'on-rafter' aluminium glazing bars? To make things a little more complicated, ideally, we're looking to make them bottom-hinged. I've seen the prefabricated roof vent offerings from Howells and Ultraframe, but I'm primarily interested in a site-built solution. I'll post up a drawing of where I'd got to thinking about this, presently. thanks for reading - JS

We've used this firm for a number of things over the years. Their products aren't fashion greenhouses, but made for functionality from perspex and self assembly aluminium frames. We've always found their quality to be very good and service is reliable and friendly. Their products are mostly made by them in the UK as well. We've just ordered a few things from them, including an additional greenhouse for the new site, and there is currently a discount of 15% if you order 2 items or more. Worth a look.
