  1. Sadly not. As Temp says, it just mentions the type of steel used…
  2. That looks fruitful, thanks for the heads up on the terminology (and thanks to Rob99 and MikeSharp 01 for the suggested alternatives).
  3. Hi Rob Yes, thank you, I did indeed consider that. Only thing is that means unscrewing the window from the hinges in order to insert the screws. Don’t really want to start doing that, unless I really have to. Obtaining and just cutting a few lengths of those profiles would be a whole heap simpler. Just a question of locating a source for the darn things!
  4. Have some Origin windows whose restrictors don’t restrict much at all, windows fly wide open all the time. Strikes me that I could limit their opening if I could get hold of some more of the plastic insert that was placed in the channels by the installers. Unfortunately, they’ve gone bust so I don’t know where to get extra inserts from. Have any of you guys come across them?
  5. Thanks for the link. Could be an option if there's nothing off the shelf available. Not sure how they'd feel about manufacturing the sort of quantities I'd need, though.
  6. Got a greenhouse-type structure that was erected in 1999 - acrylic/polycarb sheets set in an aluminium frame. The green plastic glazing bars used to stabilise the panels are well past their sell-by dates, many have slipped out and most have lost their structural integrity. The contractor who used them is long since gone so can't advise where I might find replacements for them. The aluminium framing is absolutely fine, it's just the plastic bars I'm looking for. I did find a single white-plastic alternative that has been used on the roof.. it fits well. But again, I have no idea where it was sourced from. the only ones I can find now all come with the aluminium framing and are, in any case, invariably much wider and deeper. Got quite a few of these to replace, any ideas as to where I could possibly source these things?
  7. Blimey, that's looks a mess. Who was the manufacturer? And was it installed by them?
  8. Look as if I will be embarking on a steel portal frame conversion soon, part already, er, partly completed. Hoping to glean much knowledge on the flooring, walling and roofing options.
