  1. thanks for suggestions think ours is this type, will give this a go
  2. Hi everyone, We moved into our new build about 1.5years ago. We are in the country and use a treatment plant for sewage. We are getting a sewage smell outside on the patio's worse some days more than others but particularly bad this summer. I fitted Air admittance valves to the external soil stacks to see if this would fix the problems but smell still there. I am now convinced it is coming form the inspection chamber covers (plastic clarke drain). Has anyone experienced anything similar, any fixes/suggestions. Have look to see if seals are available but can't find anything, would sealing the covers with silicone be an option?
  3. We have been very pleased with the bora, hob works just as well as a previous induction hob we had and is easy to use. As for the extractor we have it ducted outside and it works just like use see on the videos. A little noisy on the highest setting but nowhere near as bad as most overhead extractors
  4. that was for the induction model
  5. i bought from Parkes Interiors belfast, just the bora not our kitchen. We have ours installed in the island and lose about 15cm under the hob but the ducting does not interfere with the cupboard space. Unfortunately I have no photod on this computer
  6. Hi all, we put in a bora basic last year and its been great. Cost £2200, however when we looked at the cost of a separate induction hob and decent downdraft extractor it was a no brainer to go with the bora, considering the difference in performance. Noise is fine at the 1st 2 settings , most powerful setting is a bit noisy but not as bad as any overhead extractors we have had in the past.
  7. Hi all, we got moved into our new house about 2 months ago. We have a new borehole supplying our domestic water. It is down to 150ft and has a chamber at surface with a duct located about 2 feet down running to the garage, during heavy rain the chamber is filing with ground water and then running into the borehole causing discolouration of the water. I initially thought it may have been caused by water seeping in through the manhole lid to chamber, but have covered with plastic the problem is still happening. I presume water is getting into the chamber around the duct leading to the garage. Solutions seem to be : 1: try and seal around duct 2: install a pump with float switch to drain the water Any thoughts very welcomed?
  8. hi Jamie, sorry plumber hasn't made it back to site yet, i ll try get them passed onto you tomorrow!
  9. Hi Jamie, our plumber is due on site tomorrow to finish the last couple of jobs before move in, we are based in broughshane, i ll get his details and pass on tomorrow.
  10. thanks for all the suggestions - there lights are up for the time being and we will see how it looks once the kitchen is fitted in a weeks time
  11. yes hanging from a cable so as you say i think the cable is bonded. That's an idea i had'nt thought of. Thanks
  12. Hi everyone hopefully someone can offer help, were at nearing completion of our build, electricians were on site yesterday doing a few jobs including fitting 3 pendant lights over a kitchen island, the kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and the flex on the light is too short (1.5m at present and really need to be 2.3m long). they tried dismantling the light fitting to fit new flex but were unable to get it apart and were afraid of damaging it, so we put the lights up anyway, ( my wife bought the lights many month ago and we are probably unable to return now) See lights below, from cox and cox what i was wondering is it possible to join in addition flex to get the required and put some sort of decorative junction at the join i.e. chrome cube or some similar
