  1. Not sure temp. I will check. But what you have said above is correct. Boiler kicks in as and when stats call for heat. I have only the heating on from last Friday. 450 Litres in the tank so will keep an eye on that. the underfloor pipes are sitting on 150mm of insulation.
  2. Grant Vortex 50-90
  3. Jamie heating wise I am a novice also. I have a heatmiser UH8 control panel in the switch room in the back hall. The boiler heats the UF. The system has 5 UF Zones, Kitchen, bathroom, hall, sun room and living area. Then 2 zones on Radiators that are bedrooms and utility/back hall/wc area.
  4. Hi Guys, I finally have my heating up and running this past 7 days. Gradually lifting it 0.5 degrees everyday and now sitting at 17.5 degrees. I have to say it is a great feeling and the free wall space is great but worried about oil. Just gauging thoughts on underfloor heating from those of you that have installed it and how you are finding oil consumption?
  5. Folks in terms of NIE doing the final connection how pinnickidy are they? my spark has 90% of the work done bar a few pendants and low level lights. Will they still switch the power on if I put block connectors on the remaining cables.
  6. Folks, With Ulster Bank what generally is the requirements for third stage payment? As in what needs to be on the cert from architect?
  7. The liquid screed is a lot dearer than sand/cement. The tiler is happier working of the sand/cement screed too as it saves him with the priming and the extra levelling. Declan i have ground worker starting next week. I will get a yarn with him about the water but maybe safer just doing it by the books. I wonder when they intend to start the meters.
  8. Will be putting in floor screed next week. 70 sand cement with fibres on top of UFH which I ended up deciding to go for through part of the ground floor.
  9. Well folks. Only heard from Declan the other day that the forum had reincarnated under a different website. Have quite a few questions needed answered but clobbered my way through them. One that I will need to sort is NI Water. My father is off the opinion that I should just tap into the water as it actually runs up the back of my site and not on the public road. Anyone tried this and if so was it twigged on?
