  1. Oh. My uncle did the cable when the garden was originally done a few years ago.
  2. Thank you. You can look back at my posts to see how it was. Third attempt! I don’t. But if you want me to ask the builder for you. Will dig out quote as it may say on there.
  3. You can see the drainage between the slabs on bottom patio. This was our main issue with the two previous designs. Now drainage is superb. This builder has been excellent. 😀
  4. My first step on my patio has come out lower than others. It seems comfortable to climb. It is possibly my fault as I asked them to come up to patio door height so I step out easily. Which is great as it has always been a heck of a step down or up on way in. Tripped many times. I now wonder if I have messed up? The other steps are spot on. Will post photo of railings once done.
  5. Hi, will do. Just sorting a Balaustrade. Think going for metal this time. Want a gate at top of steps as my neice has a baby who won’t be long before walking. Teresa
  6. Looking for ideas. New patio coming along. Need some sort of wood to keep stones at back of retaining wall in each section height. Builder said would need to be 300 mm high. Attached picture. Would be placed against each section so stones can be flat. Decorative sones obviously going in.
  7. Thank you. We are in Wales. We have gone with the bricks from a local firm. They actually look quite good. The brick layer is doing a fabulous job. They work so hard. Wish I had picked this Company in the beginning. They involve us at every stage. The garden is starting to take shape now.
  8. Oh. Now having brick issues for walls. Cannot get ours. The closest have black marking on half of the pack of bricks. Builder going to Bristol to look tomorrow. Any tips would be helpful.
  9. Considering this. Porcelain again. They are expensive but what we like. Thank you for all replies.
  10. We have had porcelain. You can see slab on wall. They do easily crack. Everyone says they are slippery but we did not find this. Don’t like ridges in sandstone. There are pictures of my garden on previous post. Major drainage problems.
  11. Any advice regarding choice of slabs. Huge progress has been made digging out my garden. Drainage priority this time. Need to get it right this time. Any thoughts please.
  12. Thank you Andehh. I will have a look. The area is all being gutted so I can go for anything. Been taking into consideration all suggestions given.
