  1. Hi guys, just wondering what everyone has done when using the GSE side flashings with slates? The side flashing has an up turn on it which will kick the slates up really high. Is it as simple as just cutting the up turn off or hammer it flat? And then only fixed down on the battens but not through the flashing? Does this make sense?
  2. Hi Guys, looking for some advice as to how to join up these two via the valley. The existing roof Is tongue & groove on the rafters with slates on them with no felt. The new roof is felt with batten on top. Is it a simple case of putting some felt under the tiles or do I need to felt under the tongue and groove boarding? I’ve got to put the valley board on the new roof yet. What are your thoughts?
  3. Okay I think I’m getting my head around it. So I need to use the top flashing kit for the GSE in roof trays? I thought the water was supposed to run underneath the panels on the trays, that must be where I’m going wrong. I need to get a velux mounted in my roof structure and put a tray up to it and see what room I’ve got.
  4. So the standard flashing I have for my velux then are useless? The solar array is going across the bottom of three velux spaced out. Nothing up the sides or along the top of the velux. I’m trying to get the solar as close to the bottom of my velux as possible, do you get what I mean?
  5. I'd like to know about this too as I've got solar going in right underneath my velux and I have the standard flashing kit. What did you end up doing in the end?
