Hi Guys Planning a mini refurb of our shower cubicle without re tiling the whole bathroom. The plan is to replace the leaky shower mixer with an exposed bar mixer. Replace the shower enclosure too. Then fit two Multipanel panels over the existing tiles. The question is: If I fit the wall panels under the shower screen will the end trims of the panel throw the shower screen trim out of square? Would it be better to butt the wall panel up against the wall panel? Thanks

Hi Guys Can you please help me with a couple of budget prices? Individual prices please for; Demolish and re build a 4 pipe chimney above the roof. It’s max 2 m high. Materials and labour, excluding scaffold cost. Remove 4m load bearing wall (with chimney) between two rooms on ground floor. Including steels and making good. Job is in East Sussex and forms part of a larger refurb and extension project. Thanks

Hi Guys Looks like my Grundfos Solar 15-65 pump has packed up. Its making a buzzing noise, the body is red hot but it’s not pumping. Ive removed the large screw cap and turned the spindle, which appears to move. Any ideas how I can fix it? An identical replacement is £300, and I was wondering if a regular central heating pump would be a suitable replacement Thanks

Hi Guys Im replacing the rotten timber cladding on my shed with composite cladding. What is the best way to measure and cut the cladding to get a nice tight fit against the sloping roof? As you can probably guess, carpentry isn’t my best skill. Thanks

How much to fit an unvented cylinder
Robert Clark replied to Robert Clark's topic in Boilers & Hot Water Tanks
How much do you think per day? -
Hi Guys How much do you think for labour only to fit an unvented cylinder in a first floor airing cupboard ? All pipe work other than the external pressure relief pipes are already there. There is nothing to remove. Job is in Sussex Have been quoted £700 labour (not vat registered) plus materials. Thanks

I did decide against it as I will be using using the cylinder for a number of years without any thermostat or solar PV input. A smart cylinder didn’t seem like a smart option
