  1. if it's of any use: my second hand Carrier 30AWH-006 = Aeromax heatpump did only start when connected to the thermostat 33AW-CS1b. I did try to start it during summer time with the switches Thermostat 33AW-RC1 but if got the same errors as you have described. Called Carrier NL and they advised the Thermostat and since the beginning of this month the unit worked. Reinier
  2. Sunday morning the heatpump started at 7:00 as programmed, but the battery was froozen in no time (outside temperature +/- 5 degrees/ bit foggy weather). Then the unit reversed and tried to unfreeze the battery, but it looked like there was not enough power to do so. The lower 1/3 section of the battery was defrosted in 12-13 minutes, but the mid part was white and the upper 1/3 of the battery snow-white! What can this be? Why is there no power to perform the action. Decided to use the 'sleep button' on the thermostat to switch the unit to standby and waited to 11:00. Then again set the heatpump to heating and all was fine. It's 19:00 and the heatpump worked great during the day and temperatures are going down to 4 degrees celcius tonight but the unit is working fine with room temperature at 19,5 degrees. Why is the heatpump missing power to defrost? Look forward to your advise.
  3. This switch was used to try to get hotter water outpump, but because the outside temperature dropped a bit to 5 degrees the battery was completely froozen after some hours. No heating capacity and finally decided to swithc of the power. Now after 24 hours the unit was started on saturday morning (9 degrees) with this switch disabled; after setting the right parameters in 100=4 and 101=1 the system recognized the NUI interface 33AW-CS1b and started. The water is heating up to 39 degrees after a few hours because in the morning i did use the boiler and the circuit was +/- 30 degrees already. Now at 19:30 the comfort level is great in the house; the unit runs stable and silent at 930 watt.......but I still can not change any parameter to increase the water temperature. Can you please advise me and copy your settings of the user interface to better understand how this is working. It could be that the GMC controller board is faulty due to a high power glitch once the inverter board burned out, but for now I hope it's the settings! Look forward, Reinier
  4. Last saturday I did connect the 33AW-CS1b with 12 meter (4 wires 0.35 mm) and the system started up. Did some readings and tried some settings, but nothing worked as the heatpump was already pre-programmed. After running for 24 hours (950 watt consumption/ hour) the house was really heated to a great comfort level without boiler. All our standard radiators were +/- 37 degrees celcius and the outside temperature was 7 degrees and raining. The unit started at 6:00 -home mode and 22:00 to sleep mode. This first run was succesfull until I reset the settings at wednesday. I did a full master reset code 799 + code 899 and after the reset nothing happend anymore! After a day experimenting the unit started in HP (heatpump) mode and the temperature did rise to 30 degrees but not higher. The readings were strange and I decided to manual short the input contact of the 'sanitary water request' in order to get 60 degrees celcius water!! No luck.
  5. Basically the setup was the same as in the test, but the carrier heatpump did not start. After contacting the helpdesk of Carrier NL they advised a Thermostat/ controller 33AW-CS1b. Yes, the unit did start but weird things start to happen......
  6. Ok, this worked and I'm happy with the results! Now the Carrier = Kingspan (product of Carrier/ Toshiba co-operation) is on the roof of the 1st floor. The Pipes are under the roof tiles (isolated) and connected to the boiler! In parallel there is a water buffer of 100 liter and the system pressure is 1.5 bar. The principle is simple: the heatpump is heating the water in the water buffer and the boiler is taking that water as input and is heating up to 50 degrees celcius!
  7. Dear, After many months of experimenting with a second hand Carrier 30AWH-006-HB unit there is good news! This summers I tried to heat a 100 liter waterbuffer and finally it worked. The inverter board was dead because of burned processor and other chips by 220 volt shortage in the driver circuit. The board was exchanged with a Aliexpress board because it looked like it's the same. Yes, that did the job but on the board there is a toshiba sticker and I'm unsure if there is local software or just settings in the novram storage. The GMC controller board looked ok and no damage visable. So after starting up and get some pressure in the water circuit the heatpump started up and heating was up to 60 degrees. At that moment I did not have a 33AW-CS1b Thermostat and switches were added to start/ stop the system. The switch for water-temperature 60 degrees did not have any impact; the system was running in 25 degrees outside temperature and water was heating to 60 degrees.
