Change of use from agricultural building to dwelling using permitted development rights do you still need to apply for full planning or just change of use and bulding regs
-
just have a walk and look where there soil pipes are and find manhole covers
-
would look at where no14 connects , would be far cheaper to connect in to there's
-
so in that case he would have had to show calculations to shoe that the tree branches where strong enough to use .same with the plastic bag wall
-

hardcore / earth with a bad slope and a step that's why I was thinking along above lines plus I have the rsj's
-
been looking at using easi joist or similar sat on rsj's sat on concrete pillars going to insulate between joists and chipboard flooring

It's a timber framed barn basically wanting to build a timber insulated box inside an existing barn , minimal windows, one bed room /shower room. Everything else open plan, one wood burner in middle of house. Was not sure best way to build box look at SIPs for ease of build, but cost does come in to it , or use 6x2 and osb board we have a full joiners shop at the farm so pre fab wouldn't be a problem
-
the outside skin is going to be box profile steel sheet has for "Is your wall thickness constrained by budget or space" at the minute it's budget but as a farmer , I want the best for the least , not really sure what best to use is the any website that shows value /to cost per sq metre
-
The barn was used for hay and straw storage, it's still on a working farm, at the minute it as a static we use for lambing
-
no keep putting it off lol some people say it will get past no problem others say I'm in for a long drag
-
hi not sure if I ask in here or in the insulation page sorry if I'm wrong I'm not sure but is there a minimum thickness of outside wall to meet building regs for insulation on a single story house built using timber frame /sip's not sure need to use cheapest /value for money

I'm from west yorks, and hoping to convert a barn on my farm using permitted development, it's single story 60x17, think it's going to be self build timber framed and clad in box profile sheets. I've loads to learn about building spec etc need to find a architect that I can afford lol
