  1. Hi PeterW and JohnMo After fitting a non return valve after the water softener, all came good. The salt blocks now last at least 3 weeks. Many thanks guys😊
  2. Hi sorry for delay, new member. No I don't believe there is. Do you think it would help?
  3. Can anyone help me as my builder has given up. I have a Kinetico Premier twin tank water softener and after the softener I have an accumulator 450l. There are only two of us in the house yet we use up two full blocks of salt in about 4 days. I've turned off every appliance in turn and the only thing that makes a difference is to isolate the accumulator. Then the salt will last 2-3 weeks. However, we love the accumulator, it means we can fill a bath quickly while someone showers at the same time. The Kinetico supplier came out and made some adjustment to the softener, he said 'it should be better now but really you should have had a different version of the softener, suited to accumulators???' The accumulator supplier doesn't believe it could be anything to do with the accumulator. I've looked at the flow at the meter in the pavement. It creeps along, just noticeable, unless I isolate the accumulator. I guess this is the ongoing expansion of the membrane in the accumulator. The incoming main and softener are on the ground floor and the accumulator is in the loft. I hope someone can help.
