13 hours ago13 hr Installing a number of panel radiators on my project, and unfortunately some of the grounds (within the timber stud walls) for the hanging brackets are in the wrong position. It's my own fault as in a few instances I position the grounds for say a 1000mm wide rad, where a 1200 wide rad is being installed. It can be overcome by opening the wall, installing more grounds and reboarding, reskiming but understandably I want to avoid that. Not keen on radiator support feet either tbh.Does anyone know if brackets with an extra wide wall plate are available as I think that my bridge the offset of ground to radiator hanging lug. Perhaps I could just buy some metal and bend some up myself.Welcome any members ideas of how to overcome this issue?
4 hours ago4 hr Wide wall plate brackets do exist but they are not common on the shelf. What I have seen done is a short length of steel flat bar fixed through the board into the noggin, then the bracket mounted onto the bar to pick up the lug position. Just make sure it is solid, because a 1200 rad full of water pulls a lot of weight on those fixings.

In some instances I may only be ~20mm or so off the stud, I'll have a search online. The steel flat bar sounds like an idea.Thinking about it perhaps a U section channel would work even better as the web could accomadate the head of the bolt connecting the bracket to the channel. Also found these online which I think would work, although they will be visable:https://www.walraven.com/en/products/walraven-radiator-fixing-set/
