Selfbuildsarah Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We thought we had settled on Weberpral monocouche render but have the opportunity to change it last minute. We would like one suitable for timber frame, so presumably a silicone. Not a glaring white (we had chosen chalk white) and something that looks good for a long time. I have seen some that are spoiled by algae quite quickly. I would prefer as smooth a finish as possible - not thick and lumpy like the old snow cem! Any advice re compatible renderboard which works well with TF. Thanks all
Redbeard Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago What renderboard had you planned previously? Does it have to change? Do you want to get more insulation? You could use wood-fibre board (lambda somewhere 0.039-0.044W/mK). I used Baumit Silikon Top. It comes in varying grit-sizes, from really gritty to almost smooth.
