DownSouth Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) there’s some confusion over whether the date the house is built is it when we started building (2024), when the structure was completed (2025) or when it became habitable (2026). What did other people do?! Edited 3 hours ago by DownSouth
JohnMo Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago When it was finished - so when you have a completion certificate. Without that it's not home, it a build in progress. Where is the confusion?
DownSouth Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Trying to work out when to switch to house insurance from build insurance - we are moving in and will complete the rest once in.
JohnMo Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I moved in prior to completion, no 3rd party trades expected after that date, got normal house insurance and declared all the work to be done. 1
