Lesgrandepotato Posted January 4 Posted January 4 We have alongside our house a space used for parking and a shed. It sits above the stream with a stone retaining wall that was presumably built around the time of the original mill. But perhaps in the late 70s when the current build was erected (before we very substantially altered it a few years back) Now this space is a about 4.5 wide at the front, narrowing to 4m after the 8.5m of house depth and then continues for about another 8m or so, In this space I’d like to build a workshop to hold a couple of cars. Then behind this a self contained office setup. Possibly with shower and loo to act as a gym. The back half will be a largely glass pavilion style structure. Im thinking of using light weight steel stuff for the frame and a walk on green roof. This would hopefully let me use a simple raft foundation over the current ground. Right then! Let the expertise and thoughts flow!

Lesgrandepotato Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 This is the reason for a green roof. This shed was re-roofed about 4 years back. Anything here goes green sooner or later…
