Exposed rafters T&G Roof deck

Hi all

 

I've seen this lovely detail online I'd like to replicate in my own project, where I can expose the roof rafters and have T&G boards sitting above it. My question is how they've run electrical cables above the T&G boards? If the T&G boards are acting as the roof deck then this would penetrate the waterproofing membrane which surely isn't the case.

 

Does anyone has any ideas on how the electrics are wired in this instance? Thanks

Why do you need any electric cables in the roof? Put them in the wall and do wall lights also. Leave the whole roof area open as you want it.

 

You need to think about how your insulation is attached to roof (fixing method) and plenty of other details so trades don't mess up.
