Half a brick in my wall

Hello all

 

I am attempting to build a flower bed with bricks. I laid a brick one end and another the other end and I used a builders line. All was going well but I now have a half brick in the wall. The area I am building in cannot be changed so the length of the flower bed must remain the same. 
 

How do I bond the brickwork out to remove the half? 
 

I started the wall with a stretcher either end. If I started with a header one end and a strettcher the other, would that get it out? TIA.
