Mr Green Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Hi there We are looking to get a blockwork wall rendered. Its 30cm high on a concrete strip foundation. it has drainage pipes around 10cm from ground. Any recommendations on methodology for render longevity? We are Scotland based so rain and cold winters are expected. …SBR mix in the render? We don’t want a coping stone so guessing edge beading should be used to give a clean finish? cheers M.
Temp Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Perhaps use a render approved for use below DPC? I don't think all are.
Andehh Posted June 17 Posted June 17 This is ours 2 years later, grubby because of the trees above it but otherwise doing the job fine! Johnston storm shield render or something...
Mr Green Posted June 23 Author Posted June 23 Ok thanks all. Our builder has used sand/cement render. Any recommendations for a product to paint onto the render (top of wall) prior to painting with masonry paint. SBR slurry? Or other waterproofing product?
