dscoll Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Hi all. I've got some Kardean LVP in my loft (6M x 4M), which is a very warm room. It's been down for 4 years and it's started to warp (about 2 - 3mm), width ways only, see attached picture. I assumed that the builder must have not left the required 5mm gap to the wall , so I removed the rad and a section of the skirting on 1 wall to have a look. Turns out the gap is there, so i'm puzzled? My thought are There is always a table tennis table in the middle of the room and it's very heavy, 100Kg, could this be preventing the lvp from expanding into the gap? Note, yesterday I took the table down but suprise suprise the floor didn't magically go flat. I tried pushing it flat with my feet but no good. If this is causing the problem how do I now flatten it out? Or could the skirting be too tight to the floor , anyone seen this before and do i need to take the rest of the skirting off to confirm this (please say no) or is there a simpler way of checking? Any other thought ideas? Thanks DS
YorkieSelfBuild Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Hi, did you ever find the cause as I'm about to install Karndean rigid LVT? It could be the high temperatures as the recommended temps during and after installation is 18-27C
