Hi all.

I've got some Kardean LVP in my loft (6M x 4M), which is a very warm room. It's been down for 4 years and it's started to warp (about 2 - 3mm), width ways only, see attached picture. I assumed that the builder must have not left the required 5mm gap to the wall , so I removed the rad and a section of the skirting on 1 wall to have a look. Turns out the gap is there, so i'm puzzled?

My thought are

  1. There is always a table tennis table in the middle of the room and it's very heavy, 100Kg, could this be preventing the lvp from expanding into the gap? Note, yesterday I took the table down but suprise suprise the floor didn't magically go flat. I tried pushing it flat with my feet but no good. If this is causing the problem how do I now flatten it out?
  2. Or could the skirting be too tight to the floor , anyone seen this before and do i need to take the rest of the skirting off to confirm this (please say no) or is there a simpler way of checking?
  3. Any other thought ideas?

Thanks

DS
