dave1967 Posted Sunday at 15:31 Share Posted Sunday at 15:31 Afternoon I had a new roof late last year. Got to say i am disappointed with the job done. Mainly poor attention to detail. I've been having issues with water on the felt and collecting behind the fascias. I had a look today and was thinking if the felt going over the valleys is the issue and if it need cutting back. See pics. Oh and he wont come back to sort it.
dave1967 Posted Monday at 14:37 Author Share Posted Monday at 14:37 Any thoughts on this. My thinking is water will be straight onto the felt in wet and windy weather.
saveasteading Posted Monday at 14:57 Share Posted Monday at 14:57 A roofer will know more. However my thought is that these are lots of drips at nails, ie through nail holes. There isn't a great distance upslope from tile bottom to hole and the tiles are flat, so it could be capillary action plus wind. Do nails show through the felt? What is above the felt in the way of battens or board?
