farang
Looks like I'll have to sell my small plot of land which I have PP for a two bed house. I've spent quite some time drawing my own plans, digging down & other stuff, is there any way of claiming CGT relief for work Ive done? ( sure I'll submit receipts for materials) But what about the many hours I've put in? Thank you
Mr Punter
Shame it wasn't part of your garden. If you pay yourself, you will need to account for income tax and possibly NI so just work out which is more tax efficient.
mjc55
Were you liable for CIL, were you exempt due to self-build? If so be careful of the 3 year rule in disposing of the land! AIUI you will have to pay any liable CIL if you sell within 3 years.
