WayneH
Is anyone having problems with the Freehold management company, A friend of mine is having all sorts of problems with her freehold management company. She is renovating her flat in Knightsbridge and using a project manager but the woman who runs the freehold managment company keeps sending her outrageous bills such as charging her for the time her surveyor speaks to her on the phone. The pleasure of receiving a call from her surveyor gets charged at £185 per hour. When he falsely reported her to the council he charged he for the time he spend on the phone reporting her to the council. Can this be correct? Andehh
There must be a few structure in the freehold contract? Is that being abided by? Is there not a freehold or leasehold adjudication or ombudsman?
Mr Punter
Freehold management companies need to recover all costs and this will normally be from freehold shareholders or leaseholders. The surveyor is not working for free and will bill their time which in turn will need to be recovered.
