Paving sealant

Hi there. I have nearly finished installing 100m2 of rainbow sandstone paving for a customer.

I have slurried the backs, and I was planning on using joint-it compound. They would like the patio sealed which is also a colour enhancer. I am unsure whether to do it pre pointing, or several days afterwards. Could you help at all?
